Active since 2007, with six albums released and one coming up in 2019, Caixa Cubo is one of the most distinguished trios in the modern Brazilian Jazz scene. Performing in different formations and aesthetics, it’s a multifaceted project - like a “magic cube” that combines its colours. The exceptional interaction between Henrique Gomide (piano), João Fideles (drums) and Noa Stroeter (bass) invariably thrills audiences wherever they perform. It is the key element emerging on the different projects lead by the trio, along with the vocation for improvisation and the noticeable joy of three old friends making music together. Caixa Cubo explores rich rhythmical Brazilian landscapes, combining them with modern Brazilian jazz trends.
