This compilation is a combination of the albums "Driftwood and Dreams" and the original LP "The Versatile Henry Mancini". The last four songs on this CD are not on either album, but come from singles and/or soundtracks.
"Driftwood and Dreams" was Mancini's first solo album and was recorded in mono. A few years after that album's release, Mancini assembled the same musicians to record the same songs, but in stereo, that album was called "The Versatile Henry Mancini"
