Forgive me as i am a Jazz Newby but in the last 3 years have amassed over 50 cd's as i've searched through the genres. This live album has a real atmosphere to it and i give it 5 stars as a measure of my enjoyment. Typically for Jazz the energy of the live performance takes the studio tracks to a lofty place and this album certainly is up there. I cannot comment on the intricacies of the musicianship as i'm not a musician but as a listener i can say that is a rewarding experience and one that has been on high rotation for months. This is an easy listen ( though not easy listening genre) but still rewarding enough for those looking for that Jazz experience but perhaps too rock like for the hard core jazz guys.
