DESCRIPTION
Together, these four long-time partners shape a solid, drastic musical proposition combining jazz, post-rock and experimental noise. Quinos' music gravitates around rhythmic, complex improvisations, underpinned by a powerful, unflappable anchoring groove, forming the backdrop to a soundscape that reveals avant-garde jazz influences, from the harmo-melodic funk of Ornette Coleman to the radicalism of John Zorn.

Quinos present the world premiere in Les Escoumins of their 5th album, Le temps que les maisons s'écroulent. At On Jazz Sous La Lune, they present the fruit of a long summer's work recorded in the woods between Laterrière and La Baie, created in support of those affected by the Saguenay landslides in the summer of 2022. You can also bet they'll be playing a few tracks from their debut album Lune de Miel for the occasion.

"3 hours of music, everything here is spirited, compelling, inventive and filled with many a surprising twists and turns. This is one of those treasures that comes along once in a while from some creative musicians with whom I didn’t know before these discs arrived. Will wonders never cease?!? I certainly hope not."
