SETHSTAT picture
SETHSTAT is a distinguished Macedonian nu-jazz band, well versed in the so-called art of jazz and informed in nearly every jazz style that has ever emerged. Their technical expertise and diverse tastes create mind-blowing original material and ambitious, interpretative gestures of a few jazz standards. Dynamics, proficiency, chemistry and intricate arrangements, funky percussion and bass lines, as well as brilliant brass arrangements show the band at its best. Interesting crossovers between different genres and sounds subverts any expectation concerning the structure and the melody of their tunes. In 2004, their composition MVP was No.1 on the Top Downloads 200 list at the renown All About Jazz website.
