The New York City Artists' Collective aka Eclectic Arts, Inc. is a non-profit presenting organization committed to developing a greater understanding and appreciation of the visual and performing arts by creating a broad platform of exposure through exhibition and performance events of their affiliated artists.
All its affiliates are encouraged to be self-sufficient and creative individuals taking responsibility for the development of their artistic medium. The Collective helps generate a forum that enhances the development of contemporary performance by providing unique, alternative visibility and facilities to composers, artists, dancers, and performers. In its formative years (1974-80), the Collective presented a nine-month concert series produced by Tom Bruno and Ellen Christi. Artists such as David Murray, Ray Anderson, William Parker, Keshavan Maslak, Lefferts Brown, Gene Ashton, William Parker, Roy Campbell, Patricia Wilkinson, Juan Quinones and Dave Burrel were featured.
