Marly Marques was born in Luxembourg into a Portuguese familly. She discovered her passion for music at a young age, endowed with her grandfather’s good ear for music, lulled by her mother’s Fado and deeply moved by her father's closeness with the music and culture of Angola. Very early, she has been aware of the fact that she would never lose her passion for music.
After just a brief passage in different choirs and blues bands, she found her calling in jazz. As luck would have it, she met four skilled jazzmen in 2012 and they happened to really hit it off, Luxembourg being a very favourable country for happy (and improbable!) encounters. From this day on, Marly Marques has been singing in the most famous jazz venues of Luxembourg : Neumünster Abbey for the « Apéro-Jazz » of Piano Plus Festival, at Inouïe Hall as well as at Like A
