Leo began his music studies in 1990 at the Manuel de Falla Municipal Conservatory, with Daniel Kuper and Diana Arzumanian, and simultaneously studied electric guitar and improvisation with Sergio León. He obtained his degree at the Instituto Tecnológico de Música Contemporánea (ITMC) in the year 1993, majoring in Guitar, Arrangements and Composition, where he studied with guitar players such as Luis Salinas, Carlos Campos, Beto Calletti, and Harmony with Marcelo Braga and Juan ''Pollo'' Raffo. In the year 1995, he began studying and perfecting his jazz guitar and performance knowledge with guitarist Pino Marrone, and composition with professor Laura Baade. He is currently studying composition with professor Federico Wiman. Since 2005, he has played in a duo together with upright bass player Gabriel Domenicucci with whom he participated in the First Jazz Festival of Villa Gesell in 2005.
