From his mothers womb, Curtis Lundy has experienced the rhythm of music. From a musical family well known in the Miami, Florida area, Lundy has been around music all his life. He was born in 1955 and is brother to Jazz vocalist Carmen Lundy. Lundy is a double bassist, composer, producer, choir director and arranger. Mr. Lundy began his musical career in the All Miami Youth Jazz Band. At the University of Miami he was classically trained under the tutelage of renowned bassist Dr. Lucas Drew. He has studied privately with Cecil McBee, Linda McKnight, Rufus Reid, Jaco Pastorius and Ron Carter. Curtis made his debut on the New York jazz scene dating back to 1978.
