An innovative presence on the UK music scene, Glaswegian Corrie Dick is a musician recognised for his fluency, gritty sound and euphoric abandon on the drum kit. He has caused a stir in the UK and European jazz scene with his prolific and diverse activity, touring with Dutch sax tyro Maarten Hogenhuis, the trio of Azeri pianist Isfar Sarabski and trumpet sensation Laura Jurd’s ensembles Dinosaur and Human Spirit as well as Fellow Creatures - the exciting new project from international powerhouse bassist Jasper Høiby. His own critically-acclaimed debut album ‘Impossible Things’ released November 2015 also displays his striking abilities as composer/lyricist by skilfully fusing Celtic folk and contemporary jazz with North African rhythms.
