AS IS will be busy this fall preparing for their highly anticipated CD release, Here’s to Life, later this winter. Recorded in NYC with Grammy-nominated producer, James McKinney, the album blends the duo’s signature intimacy with the talents of many special guest artists including drummer, Marcus Baylor; acclaimed saxophonist, David Binney; harmonica virtuoso, Gregoire Maret; bassist Rashaan Carter, Latin percussionist Alejandro Lucini, vocalists Christie Dashiel and Carl “Kokayi” Walker, and members of the Kennedy Center orchestra. Alan Schulman is a noted jazz guitarist from Cincinnati, Ohio who studied with the late great guitarist Cal Collins (formerly of the Benny Goodman Orchestra) and has appeared with noted jazz artists Anita Baker, Herbie Hancock, Wynton Marsalis & Michael Feinstein.
