The Charles Bell Contemporary Jazz Quartet "The Last Sermon"
from their self-titled LP (1960 Columbia, CS-8382)

Bell's quartet was awarded a recording contract with Columbia Records when they performed at the Intercollegiate Jazz Festival at Georgetown University in May of 1960. The album features an all Pittsburgh-based line up of musicians consisting of Charles Bell (piano), Bill Smith (guitar), Allen Blairman (drums) and Frank Traficante (bass).
