Here's the third single from Marieke Wiening's 'Metropolis Paradise,' which will be released on November 1st.

German drummer Mareike Wiening releases her debut album on Greenleaf Music featuring her original compositions performed by an outstanding quintet of New York improvisers. Metropolis Paradise is dedicated to Wiening’s six year residence in the Big Apple, tells the daily battle of surviving as a female jazz musician, while commuting back and forth between Europe and the US. Wiening’s compositions are lyrical and emotional, as well as rhythmically curious with out sounding complex. Using palette of tenor saxophone, piano, guitar, bass, and drums, the group sound is one of give and take, a musical dialogue between soloist and accompanist.
