Quatro a Zero has a peculiar path inside brazilian music. They make an instrumental music that has Choro as the main influence, going deep on its language and its accents. At the same time, they cross the frontiers of this genre: from a contemporary perpective, they mix Choro with other languages, making a very original music.
Its members also work in other projects with very distinct types of music – from jazz to classical music, from traditional choro to pop music. That amount of experience brings to Quatro a Zero a rich variety of musical possibilities.
The essence of Quatro a Zero's music is in collective arrangements, which incorporate the different references that each musician brings to the group. The group takes the repertoire chosen from within the vast universe of Choro. It also includes original compositions.
