Psychic Equalizer is a project that pianist and composer Hugo Selles started in 2011. The main musical aim of the project was to mix several genres of music to create a style in which he could express himself without any limits. The first EP, Memories From A Cold Place, was released back in 2012 and was inspired by Hugo’s homeland in Cantabria, northern Spain. One of the songs of this debut was nominated to the 4th Annual Hollywood Music In Media Awards. After this, came Madrid [or Suite For The Solitary Contemporary Citizen]. This second EP showed more jazz and rock influences than its predecessor and was very well received by critics and the public. Both EPs were included in a special 2CD edition including bonus material: Train Back Home. A couple of years after the live EP Live Memories was released, closing the first cycle of the project.
