Born in Montevideo, Uruguay on September 23rd, 1965.
1979-1984: He starts his musical studies in Barcelona, with drum teacher Aldo Caviglia, (Tete Montoliu, Kai Winding, Thad Jones, a.o.), and completes his Jazz degree at the Taller de Músics.
Before he was 28 he had already won five National first prizes of Jazz contests with different bands, and First National Jazz Composing prize in 1993.
Teacher since he was 18, at the most at the most important jazz schools in Spain: Taller de Músics in Barcelona and Madrid, Escuela de Música Creativa, Escuela Popular de Música y Danza. Since 2005, drum and ensemble teacher at MUSIKENE, Conservatorio Superior de Música del País Vasco.
Considered the reference Jazz-Flamenco drummer.
