Axel Filip is a drummer, composer and arranger.
Regarding his training, in his beginnings in Cordoba, he received a scholarship twice for the Cordoba Jazz Camp.
He is a graduate of the Jazz School of the Manuel de Falla Conservatory, within which he has also been selected twice to carry out intensive workshops, the first with the American clarinetist and composer Ben Goldberg, and the second with the pianist and composer Marilyn Crispell.
In 2016 he was selected to participate in the ensemble workshops dictated by Juan Cruz de Urquiza at the BA Jazz Festival.
In August 2017, he participated in a two-week workshop at the School for Improvisation Music in Brooklyn (NYC), where he took classes with Ralph Alessi, Kris Davis, Tom Rainey, Gerald Cleaver, Drew Gress, and Michael Formanek.
He has also trained with Fernando Martinez, Chiche Heger, Oscar Giunta, Diego Schissi, Guillermo Klein, Sergio Verdinelli, and Pepi
