ANANDA GARI, drummer and composer, lives between Italy and New York where he currently plays and tours with great artists both as a side man and a band leader.
After two records as a co-leader (“Moving Thoughts” with italian jazz pianist and ECM artist Stefano Battaglia and “Incipit” with Mark Turner on tenor sax), he presents his new album, out March 2014 on italian avantguard label Auand Records, entitled “T - Duality”.
After touring around Italy with guitarist REZ ABBASI, with whome he also shares his long time interest for indian music, he dicides to write new material for his own project including two of his favourite musicians of all time: TIM BERNE on alto saxophone and MICHAEL FORMANEK on doublebass.
This project represents the result of all his past studying and performing experiences.
