Alessandro Collina - Took his first piano lessons from uncle and teacher Maestro Ubaldo Giardini, and continued with the guidance of Gianmaria Bonino, receiving his diploma in classical piano at the conservatory of La Spezia (Itasy). Afterwards he attended several stages on improvisation and decided to enroll in the class of jazz piano at Nice (France) Conservatory. He successfully qualified for diploma but in the meantime played in several ensambles, among which the “Conte Big Band” directed by Giampaolo Casati, and, from 2003, the italian-french quartet led by trombinist Luca Begonia. He then collaborated with various artists among which Gianni Basso, Emanuele Cisi, Claudio Capurro, David Amar. In 2006, 2007 e 2008 he performed as steady member of Paul Jeffrey’s Europe Tour group, also recording, in 2009, the CD “We See”, a Thelonius Monk tribute, for Imago Records .
