I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...
Ken Burns

I've listened to very few 2011 music, I'll just name a couple that really surprised me:

Badbadnotgood by BadBadNotGood: the most surprising thing is that it's free....

Wesseltoft and Schwarz Duo is a new addition for me, it sounds quite promising.

I don't think I've heard any jazz album from 2011. Ouch
Hit it on Five.

Saxophone Scatterbrain Blitzberg

Stab them in the ears.

Oh no wait! I lied.

Wadada Leo Smith's Heart's Reflection. That album was very good.

And from reading your list, I do have Marbin's album. Didn't realize it was a 2011 release...nor have I actually listened to it.

Johnston/Mezzacappa/Shelton/Nordeson - Cylinder

Hertenstein/Heberer/Badenhorst/Niggenkemper - Polylemma
Bill Dixon - Envoi
HERA - Where My Complete Beloved Is
Undivided - Moves Between Clouds

That shows you the power of music, that magician of magician, who lifts his wand, says his mysterious word and all things real pass away and the phantoms of your mind walk before you clothed in flesh.
