I think I've concluded pretty definitively that it's Tommy "Crow" Kahn, a pretty obscure pianist who started out with Jack McVea's orchestra and then played for years in T-Bone Walker's band. Here is a link with the band members labeled. Kahn (the guy who I thought might be a very young Dolphy) is at the far left.
