Maaaaan!!!! I'm in the middle of a Gil Evans exploration, and Sketches Of Spain is more of a Gil affair than a Miles album, really!!! He's the one pushing the Rodrigo influences on that album... miles is just the soloist.

Had to stop on the side of the road coming back last nist from work, because I was listening to Las Vegas Tango (from The Individualism of GE), because I was unable to concentrate on driving , getting drown in my tearsof joy, listening to that track... awesome... especially when the upper brass section is giving those three burst, answered by the low-brass section's almost-farting answer... Just too much to handle...

my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicted musicians to crazy ones....

^ awesome, another album I ought to check out, thanks, Sean! I agree, Evans probably had a vision with the album.

I love Ole but I went with Davis in the end, forgot about the poll for a while.

Interested to hear 'Spoonful' by Evans, from the 'Individualism...' album too

I'm about to review the album

Spoonful was a bonus track, and although rather fun, it doesn't really fit in with the original album's sounscapes, like the other three previous bonus tracks. Hwever, the one preceding the album proper is a perfect complement.
