The Shining for me Matt. Even if the ghost element isn't as big as in some of the others listed, it's still one of the best-made films up there so I'm going with old Kubrick.

There's a TV mini-series, more faithful to the book and full of ghosts: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118460/" rel="nofollow - http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0118460/

Scott yes, sure is but being purists it has to be the original Jap version Big smile Same with The Ring Cool

Saw one recently that was good and did not mention called The Echo.

My daughter saw a new one at the film festival here a couple of weeks ago called The Innkeepers and gave it the thumbs up. Said it was good and different.

I've not actually seen The Grudge, I just remembered seeing commercials for it.  I am mostly too chicken for ghost stories, although I do partake from time to time.

We are all horror film buffs here but they need to have a bit of originality or creativity with the film.

I find Ghost films if good are the best. Not much violence required but just the creep. Good ones can make you feel uncomfortable.

One of the scenes in the flick The Others were the little boy in fear thinks his sister is holding his hand in bed.ShockedClapClapClapClapClap

Thank you for teaching "10 steps",Matt.Smile Because it exactly had Japanese subtitles, I enjoyed it.

It will be endured to go to the rest room if I see alone at night. Big smile
