Hi, JMA mates. Big smile

I've posted about a Avant-Jazz album "Frozen Days" by Yosuke Yamasita Trio in my blog over a year before ...
http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=58488&PID=3268865#3268865" rel="nofollow - http://www.progarchives.com/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=58488&PID=3268865#3268865

Yosuke Yamasita is already on MusicBrainz but Trio not there yet ... Unhappy
In such a case, can they be added as an independent project from Yosuke, or one under the credit of Yosuke?

Comments? Wink

There should be no problem getting him added under whatever name is most conveniant. Do you have a sound sample that we can check out? Something simple like myspace or youtube You will find that artist evaluations move very rapidly at this site Wink

Hey Damo, Musicbrainz has Yosuke Yamash*ta, different person?
Haha, the auto edit thinks I am cursing, not good for Japanese names I think.

Yosuke Yamasita has some albums of the name by the individual.

Is the data base limited as "Trio"?

You missed the question.
I'm asking is Yosuke Yamash*to the same as Yosuke Yamasito.
Yamash*to is in musicbrainz but Yamasito is not, but I think it is probably the same person anyway, I'm just making sure.

^ the auto censor makes it hard because it perceives a dirty word but,   * = i

Yes.Spelling of musicbrainz might be difficult because of the conversion of Japanese.

Of course, this will be able to be caught as a same person. And, no word perhaps not used and it thinks "*" not converted to be the one by the conversion of spelling simply.

Yosuke Yamasita added, I tried to find his discography and find out everywhere he is named as Yosuke Yamash*ta. Should we be different?

You might want to read the above posts, we already had this discussion about the name and he was added long ago. Wink

I mean he was imported yesterday from MusicBrainz without discog,I added just one album he would be shown on genre's artists list.Searching for albums,I just realized everywhere he's added slightly different, then there.

OK, I guess we will let Kazu or Keishiro decide on the name issue.

I inspected Musicbrainz a little while ago. His name seems to be corrected there.

However, it was automatically written as "Yosuke Yamash*ta" when I wrote his name in this thread and it sent it.

If his name in JMA is not converted, "Yosuke Yamasita" is OK.

In addition, the problem is not in the form of the organization when his album is added. The album of his name will be able to be added regardless of the organization. I have already executed it by other musicians' data bases.
