Hey, everyone it's Cale from PA. I've really been wanting to listen to more Jazz lately so I thought I might as well sign up here. I have little to no experience with Jazz what-so-ever, and just about all I've heard is A Kind of Blue by Miles and "Jazz Macht Spazz" by a German group called Puppenhaus. I look forward to meeting some interesting people and finding some interesting music. Thanks. -Cale

Welcome. Many gateway jazz albums to choose from, Many from 1959, same as Kind of Blue. I recommend John Coltrane - "Giant Steps", Charles Mingus - "Mingus Ah Um", and Dave Brubeck - "Time Out" (very 'proggy' jazz album). But there's so many to choose from, you'll find your way.
