I'm actually getting a great friend of mine to join soon. He's a huge jazz fan, and not much else. And he plays trumpet Cool

Oh, right, this thread is supposed to be to introduce myself.

Hi everybody, I'm Colin.  I play jazz guitar, used to play some jazz tuba (Cool).  I like to listen to old big band and bop, swing (although I hate to play swing), and a lot of newer stuff like nu-jazz and modern fusion bands.  Stuff like Dixieland and Ragtime are also damned cool.  My former (late, unfortunately) guitar teacher was an old jazz cat, he was real cool.  Wore a black suit all the time.  A lot of the jazz albums I get are things I borrow from my drummer, who also played in jazz band with me in high school.

Also, Miles Davis is a cool guy.  He jazzes the fusion and doesn't afraid of anything.
