I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

This really is the first lot of hot weather this year. It has been one of the coldest summers on record so far. Wish it would stay in that weather pattern John. Supposed to be going to 40C or about 105F today. After about 30C or 80F I sit in the air conditioning. This will excite everybody around the world. The cricket Test between Aust. and India starts today in Sydney. I know "hang on to your seats"......it is Test cricket LOL Some people say watching paint peel is faster moving but I actually do like it. Perfect for summer because if you fall asleep when you wake up normally you have not missed much Wink

My turn to pick this years calendar. Just went up.

Has a Blue Note one about 10 years back. Great stuff because they did not go for just the big albums.

Hey Matt - I think they're suffering a bit, but I'm actually about 4 hrs east of Melbourne in Gippsland Wink
And it's painful here too. Inside a lot, curtains closed, air conditioner labouring! I'd prefer the more moderate temps from Autumn and Spring. How are you going today? Day 3 of teh new year and we finally get a real summer at least

I thought you came form Adelaide, Ashley. Sorry about that. Where down in Gippsland are you? My father lived in Moe for years. (Actually a bit out on a small property) He moved into the town about 3 years back when he got to old to look after it but died early last year. Lions Club and heaps of other community work he used to do around the town as well.

As for myself I am great but I have to go back to work today." It's all over there ain't no more" CrySmile Glad the heat is gone. Once it gets over 30 degrees these days. yuck. Loved it hot when I was young though, but not now.

^ Yeah, it's nice indeed to have the heat ease off for a bit, huh?

No probs, Matt! I'm further east again, near LAkes Entrance, though I once lived in Newborough, which, as you'd know, is very close to Moe.

Damn work! The new year is starting good for me - got a few more weeks off and plan to use it to work on and review for JMA (among other things)

The The Lakes would be pretty crowded at the moment. Beautiful spot. Newborough is actually where my dad moved to but I say Moe because it is well known. He lived in Westbury before but everybody says "where is that". Easier just to say Moe. It is about  three K out on the Old Sale Road.

Yeah, I know what you mean about Moe/Newbbie! Yes, Lakes is full indeed with transient tourist population, which keeps the retailers happy and the cafes honest!
