I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

Man, that album he did with Jef Neve (Belgium) is boooooooring!!!!
and it's got nothing tp do with Neve, because his piano style albums are much more interesting

I thought Mr James has some of the best vocal control I've heard in a while, outstanding vocalist who deserves more attention from the jazz crowd.

nothing against his voice at all.... just that that particular album did less than nothing for me
I was never really a sung-jazz fan, anyway.
