I just wanted to share a song with you all from Detroit band The Howling Diablos.  It is called Go Gene Go and is a tribute to Gene Krupa.  I think that jazz fans might enjoy it.

^ Thanks, fun band, but those flaming drum sticks inside a night club scares me a bit. Shocked

Je l'ai vu en concert samedi soir. C'était magique! Enjouement, émotion, générosité, virtuosité. Un grand moment Cône

^ Lucky you, we get very few touring jazz musicians where I live. Nice piano piece too, by the way.

During the summer in France there are a lot of small festivals of all styles.
I discover this one less than two hours away from home during my holidays.
Outdoor concerts at the foot of a 12th century gothic limestone church. Swallows above us at the early evening. Then moonlight at the nightfall. Perfect atmosphere and decor !
It was in a small town called Souillac.
The Avishai Cohen concert was the largest of the festival and brought together nearly 1,000 people.

Enjoy what you have, this sort of event does not happen often in the states, maybe a bit on either coast, but not at all around here.
There are some clubs around here where you can still here authentic blues and RnB, but not much jazz.
