Another contemporary Romanian jazz vocalist. Her voice is more in the lower register, unlike that of Maria Raducanu, but they both very interested in ethnic jazz inspired by Romanian folk music.

This is one of my all-time favourite albums.  The best parts are, of course, the singing, and especially Mihalache's cembalo, one of the paradigmatic Romanian folk instruments. I love how he plays it in different ways, sometimes sounding exactly like from a traditional "taraf", and sometimes surprisingly similar to a piano!
