Grammy-winning pianist Ramsey Lewis will be performing a live stream concert Saturday April 25th 2020

Three time Grammy winner and NEA Jazz Master pianist Ramsey Lewis will be performing a special live stream concert Saturday April 25th, with a portion of the proceeds going to the MusicCares COVID-19 relief fund in the US.

The Recording Academy and its affiliated charitable foundation MusiCares have established the COVID-19 Relief Fund to help those in the music community affected by the Coronavirus pandemic.

You can read our guide on how you can help the jazz and music community here.

Ramsey lewis has been a major jazz force since the 1950s, with his open mind and crossover style allowed him to venture into the R&B and pop worlds, breaking through with Grammy-winning 1965 album The In Crowd.

This will be an extra special event considering that Ramsey is no longer touring. It will be a look behind the curtain, as it will be live from Ramsey's home in the room that he practices in and he will be telling the stories behind the hit songs he has made for the past six decades.
