Warren Wolf & Joshua Espinoza, Stream live concert from An Die Musikt’s not at all necessary to say that these are crazy
times we find ourselves in. All artists have had their performances
either cancelled or postponed and many now are turning to live streaming
as an alternative. We’ve all witnessed impromptu concerts streamed live
on Facebook and the like, however, while some are interesting it is no
replacement for a true concert experience.
Located on the second floor of a historic townhouse in Baltimore, Classical and Jazz Venue ‘An Die Musik’ is currently filling the gap with a series of intimate Duo & Solo concerts streamed live from the venue via YouTube. Editors Note; Just for clarity, although the venue sports a good German name, the venue is actually in the United States. This coming Friday at at 7:00pm Eastern USA time (For the night-owls – that’s 1:00am here in Europe) Warren Wolf together Joshua Espinoza will present a duo concert featuring a selection of standards. For Wolf, highly regarded for his work with the SF Jazz Collective, Bobby Hutcherson, and Christian McBride, this concert will be his second in his his Quarantine Livestream series. In February of this year Warren released his latest album “Reincarnation” on Mack Avenue Records that reveals an entirely different side to his multi-faceted talents. As the title implies, Reincarnation represents a rebirth of sorts for the Baltimore vibesman. In part, it frees Wolf to indulge his love for the R&B and soul hits that served as the soundtrack to his formative years in the 1990s. Joshua Espinoza is one of the most exciting up-coming pianists on the US jazz scene at the moment. His most recent album, Journey into night, received a glowing review on this platform by yours truly, so this collaboration will be one not to miss. Tickets (access to the live-stream link) can be purchased at the An Die Musik website, and donations will be accepted to help support An Die Musik, one of the East Coast’s most beloved small venues. Remember, It’s not just artists that need support in these times, we also need to support our venues. from https://jazzineurope.mfmmedia.nl |
