Montreux Jazz Festival will release over 50 legendary concerts to stream for free, including performances by Nina Simone, Marvin Gaye and James Brown

Montreux Jazz Festival have announced they will release 50 legendary and exclusive performances from its 54-year history.

During this unprecedented time, fans will have the chance to experience many iconic performances from an incredible set array of musicians.

The festival is releasing archive footage and concerts from 'The Godfather of Soul' James Brown (who performed in 1981), Nina Simone (1976) as well as Marvin Gaye, Carlos Santana, Jonny Cash and many more, all available to stream online.

You can find out how to stream the concerts here.

Montreux Jazz Festival, which draws 250,000 music fans to the shores of Lake Geneva each year, is looking to unveil the line-up of it's 54th edition, but given the exception circumstances the announcement is postponed until developments are clearer.
