easily the most powerful drummer in terms of leading his band that I've ever heard - just my opinion, I know
he's never mentioned in books or documentaries discussing jazz and its' history I believe this is because his genre is fusion and those who write about jazz tend to be traditionalists who don't appreciate fusion this is IMO unfair because this guy is truly fantastic |

Great drummer, but i think his skills and contributions are universally recognized and well documented.
