This is the second on my series on performers at Houston Hobby Airport. I saw Tony Henry perform back on July 4th, but forgot to mention his excellent performance. Tony has cut a few RnB records with full electric band backing, but live he often performs by himself with just acoustic guitar to back him up. Its in these more sparse settings that the beauty of Tony's wonderful voice really comes out.

Tony sings a variety of material pulled from the worlds of RnB, folk and reggae. His acoustic guitar style lends the songs a slight bossa nova feel. Every song he sang was excellent, but the highlight was the best rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" I have ever heard. On top of being a great vocalist, Tony is a very humble and friendly person who is easy to chat with.
