Hi there. There are three reasons that gotten me into this site:

1. I love jazz (especially jazz fusion)
2. This site needs improvement (in my opinion)
3. This site is progarchives related, so I can talk online with people that I already know.
You probably know me, so I guess that I don't need to introduce myself once again.

Some great names in there - have you heard Jazz Impressions of Japan, by Brubeck? If not, check it out, it's a little different (but still undeniably Brubeck) to his more famous albums. One of my favs.

Welcome!

If I may, I suggest you to check out some European fusion of the 70s, be it the Canterbury Scene or in Italy there's some great stuff.

National Health's debut.
Hatfield & the North's debut and The Rotters' Club.
Premiata Forneria Marconi's Jet Lag.
Soft Machine's Third and Bundles
Area's Crac!

Just a bunch, but there's more!

And if you wanna dig some newer stuff, with some prog hints:

Time Control by Hiromi Uehara (groovy technical jazz fusion with some tranquil moments)
Royal Toast by Claudia Quintet (Zappa-like at times)

And why not let me give you some free jazz stuff from my country, quality stuff eh!

Enjoy! Jazz is a vast world, it can make you cry, it can make you smile, but it can also make you go wild.

Welcome...Wink

You won't find many tpo dispute you this list, because my guess is that we're over 85% PA-ers so far, which was not the intent, btw)

Given your tastes, may I suggest that you check out some early Larry Corryell Sun Ra or Mingus'  Black Saint And Sinner Lady (if of course you haven't already)

EDIt: I just saw you did in Mingus' case....LOL
