I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

Listened to Eric Dolphy and Wesseltoft Schwarz Duo just recently but other than that, lots of lo-fi and alt-prog.

Speaking of saxophone trios, I really like those early Ornette records, any piano or guitar would ruin all that.

By the way, I thought that the album art looked like this emoticon a little. Though the direction for which the face is suitable is opposite. LOL
Cool LOL

I often listen to this.
That will be up next Kazuhiro Clap Good idea I have not played this one in a while Cool "Way out West" is another trio one of just sax, bass and drums by Sonny. They are great these trio albums because the band has to all play good and you really hear Sonny Thumbs Up "Greg Osby's"  Channel 3 is another great trio recording in this manner as well. My favourite of his Approve

Bought this on cassette originally when it was released for the old Holden (Car). Between Pink Floyd and Bruce Springsteen you got Willie Hug Half of these old songs I knew but the other half I did not back then when I was 20. One thing though all these songs today are considered standards and what a great job Willie did with his interpretations. Not just for Country fans. It was a big selling album back then but was not picked up by radio over here until it had been around, about a year , then it became massive.

Fave track is the lot of em' Cool
