I wrote a review for "Night and the City" by Charlie Haden and Kenny Barron. For some reason this review didn't show up on the home page or the space under Charlie Haden's albums.

Is it perhaps because I only wrote it with a little over 100 words?

I see your rating for that album, so if you tried to upload review (with rating), but it didn't show after, most probably it was shorter than 100 words. It such case only rating stays.

I understand the problem now. I clicked publish when it said I was at 104 words, but going back and counting the words myself, I found 99 words. It seems as though the word counter is capable of error.

I try to make my reviews well clear of 100 words, usually I try to break 200 words anyway; 100 words seems too short.

I do too. Usually I have ideas to expand on when writing a review, as I have done with my other reviews. But in this particular case, I didn't have much to say so I simply went for the bare minimum.

I wouldn't worry about how many words there are, sometimes it doesn't take a lot.
