I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

No Hiromi on the list from any of them. Bloody nice album. I saw someone went for Kurt's "The Gate" but Sonny Rollins is the most popular (Fair enough Wink), Joe Lovano and Brad Meldhau seem to be the most popular at a quick look as well. I would like to hear the Lovano one "Bird Songs" you can't complain about the choice of material. I have one of his here "52nd Street Themes" and I do like it

I was pretty sure Hiromi will get in the top lists this year...

Really surprising. Maybe no one gave them a free promo copy LOL Great trio album and she keeps it interesting right throughout

Probably some evaluations of the album which a listener and a journalist think about may have a difference. A list has the album which they are not included in, but listeners really will always polish senses.

Tony Bennett and Pat Metheny are given to a candidate in Grammy Award of the next year, but the opinion may really vary.
