Yes, I agree that Hiromi's Time Control is more classic fusion (with Fiuczynski on guitar and her electric keyboards), so it looks we all agree - the album's genre could be switched to Classic Fusion. 
Her other mentioned albums are possibly one of the best examples what Post Fusion Contemporary jazz is , I always compare its sound as standard for sub-genre. Another very typical Contemporary jazz sound example is Jason Moran.
BTW, I really like Time Control, she showed how old good fusion could sound not boring even now. And there is great drummer playing on this album (Slovakian Martin Valihora). |
not to mention some great bass work. i listened to it last night, always a great listen. btw i wont touch the Zorn page, but yes, Electric Masada and the first Naked City are the 2 albums i have by John Zorn

ive been updating Hiromi's page, and i was thinking; does she reside in Japan? if so, is she on tour? i hope she is ok, what with everything going on in Japan right now

Arrived yesterday, I think the disc was used as a Drink Coaster  and also to rub a car down with.  Cleaned up this scratchy suface.........there is a slight area that looks dicey  Said it was in good condition.........hate to see what bad looks like. One slight repeat or anything wrong with the play and this Seller is gonna cop it.  two tracks down, so far ,so good
