LEO SHERMAN picture
Leo Sherman began playing the acoustic bass in high school, after playing the piano and drums as a child. He fell in love with the round tone and blossoming swells of sound the bass produced. Leo did a double degree in classical and jazz performance for his undergraduate studies at William Paterson University. Soon after, he completed his graduate studies at Manhattan School of Music, focusing on contemporary jazz performance. Leo now resides in New York City and actively performs on Broadway, at Lincoln Center, and at premier jazz venues citywide.
