A versatile musician influenced by jazz and classical music, David Brito, Switzerland of Venezuelan origin, born in 1980, realizes a large part of his studies at the conservatory José Luis Paz Maracaibo (Venezuela), his hometown.
In 2003 he arrived in Switzerland to continue his studies at the Lausanne Conservatory in the class of Marc-Antoine Bonanomi, where he obtained his teaching degree in 2006 and then the concert diploma in 2009. He then followed a jazz training with Bänz Oester and Larry Grenadier at the Hochschule für Musik in Basel, where he obtained a Master degree in jazz performance.
David Brito is a member of the Philharmonic Argovia (replacing bass solo) and the Collegium Musicum Basel (double bass). He teaches bass at the Lausanne Conservatory and a member of Ochumare group of violinist and singer Yilian Cañizares with which he performed in concerts and tours in the most important venues and festivals in Europe
