I think the problem with a lot of the fusion music is that it's extremely predictable, it's a rock rhythm and the solos all play the same stuff and they play it over and over again ...

While we are at it ........Ibrahim Ferrer.........another old Son and bolero specialist who was out of Buena Vista with Omara and of course Ruben Gonzalez the old piano tinkler for  Buena Vista. Go for a trifecta while we are adding them.
 
As we went over before. Compay Segundo. Elias Ochoa etc are Old Cuban rural style ( accoustic, guitar, tres and just a Conga or bongo , bass maybe a piano but they don't have the required swing and are all Cuban. Sure they do have lead accoustic breaks etc but they are all Cuban without the Jazz twist. Elias Ochoa though does have an album that would get in which he did with Manu Dibango but it is only one of many.
