Do you see Sonny with the sunglasses on. It is not only Sonny is there though, Monk in the white jacket is not to far away. Basie sitting on the gutter with the kids. Roy Eldridge with his head tuirned towards Dizzy Gillespie, (If you see doco on it Roy tells what was going on when the shot was taken with Diz next to him). Blakey, Mingus, Jimmy Rushing, Joe Jones ( Basie's drummer), Rex Stewart, Coleman Hawkins, Horace Silver, Lester Young, Mary Lou Williams and plenty more.
Is Sonny the only living one left? Maybe Mariam McPartland is still going but I am not sure but hey what an historic and awesome photo.
