Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club to Play White House

First Cuban group invited to perform there

The Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club will perform at the White House on Oct. 15 in celebration of Hispanic Heritage month. According to a press release, a delegation of about 500 dignitaries and politicians from around the world will be hosted by President Obama. Presently touring North America, the Orquesta Buena Vista Social Club will be the first Cuban musical group to perform at the White House.
