SFJAZZ Collective to perform Michael Jackson Music

Gigs will be recorded for a live album

SFJAZZ Collective, the resident ensemble of San Francisco’s SFJAZZ Center, will present new arrangements of music by Michael Jackson Oct. 22-25. The group features Miguel Zenón, alto sax; David Sánchez, tenor sax; Sean Jones, trumpet; Robin Eubanks, trombone; Warren Wolf, vibraphone; Edward Simon, piano; Matt Penman, bass; and Obed Calvaire, drums.

The Collective will perform such Jackson hits as "Thriller," "P.Y.T.," "Man in the Mirror" and more, as well as new compositions by the band. These performances will also be recorded for an upcoming record release.
