Saxophonist Eric Marienthal has joined the ranks of artist
instructors at ArtistWorks and has launched the Jazz Saxophone School, a
learning site. The new site is described in a press release as “a vast
resource for saxophonists of all experience levels to learn online
through ArtistWorks, the leader in a new generation of online learning
platforms.”
This “next generation” patented Video Exchange® Learning platform,
the release states, “enables world-renowned artists and musicians to
‘teach the world’ by presenting their artistic legacy in the form of HD
video lessons and direct feedback to subscribing students. Utilizing
simple web cams, smartphones, tablets or video cameras, students are
able to submit practice videos and get individualized video feedback and
guidance from their artist instructors—creating a constantly evolving
two-way, online learning experience.”
Marienthal, an alumnus of Berklee College of Music and recipient of
Berklee Distinguished Alumnus Award, will teach saxophone on
ArtistWorks’ Patented Video Exchange® Learning platform where players
have access to a library of multi-camera angle video tutorials and will
be able to receive personalized feedback. The patented learning tool
will allow students to submit practice videos and receive a custom video
response back from Marienthal.
Marienthal has played with prominent musicians such as Al Hirt,
Russell Ferrante and fellow ArtistWorks teacher Chuck Leob. Eric was
able to play with one of his inspirations Chick Corea in the Chick Corea
Elektric Band, and during that time in the band they won two Grammy’s.
Eric Marienthal has always had a spark for sharing his knowledge of jazz
and the saxophone. Before joining ArtistWorks, he wrote three
instructional books and released three instructional videos. ArtistWorks
is extremely excited to give Eric Marienthal another outlet for his
passion of jazz saxophone.
