I know a few were released by Nat King Cole and Sinatra, but that's all. What am I missing?

Thanks.

I took a quick look at some big names, and most didn't release an LP until 1951. Let me see what else I can find out and I'll get back to you.

Looks like most of the LPs released in the late 40s, when the LP first appeared, were classical LPs. Ellington's "Liberian Suite" is about 25 minutes, making it more of an EP.
Other than the two artists you mentioned, looks like most labels waited to the early 50s to release jazz albums, but there may be something I missed.

As far as I considered some of the releases of the 40's totally included Duke Ellington
Mary Lou Williams with that Zodiac album. Maybe there was more, something like Bob Wilber(not sure if that as a late 40's or early 50's)
