Chicago’s Hyde Park Jazz Festival Announces Initial Lineup

Chicago’s free Hyde Park Jazz Festival has announced its initial 2015 lineup. The ninth annual festival will present free concerts and other programs on the Midway and in partnership with more than a dozen organizations across the Hyde Park Neighborhood on Sept. 26-27.

This year's festival will feature Regina Carter and Xavier Davis, Henry Threadgill and David Virelles, Mary Stallings and Bruce Barth, Dana Hall and Nick Mazzarella, Geof Bradfield and Jeff Parker "play Monk," and the Willie Pickens Quartet. Also scheduled are Tomeka Reid, Mikel Patrick Avery and Ambrose Akinmusire.

Sunday, September 27th: Midway Plaisance only.
