Hi, looking for a bit of advice regarding bookshelf speakers for my home stereo system. My existing speakers have given good service for 15 years but now the foam around the woofers has perished, which ruins the sound quality. Is it possible to repair, or would I be better off getting some new speakers? I'm erring towards new. My room is 20' long and 14' wide, and my amp is 75W output. My friend has http://www.hifigear.co.uk/kef-ls50-mini-monitor-loudspeakers.html" rel="nofollow - KEF LS50 speakers on stands which sound terrific but are a little outside of my budget. Any help gratefully received. Big smile

KEF are highly rated and worth every cent. Check the Bay. Also Monitor Audio Silvers, not the home theatre models.
